Katie Franklin joined Drexel Hamilton in May 2024 as an Associate in the Debt Capital Markets department. Working out of the satellite office in Columbus, Georgia, Katie plays a valuable role in supporting the firm’s initiatives. The Drexel Hamilton South Office provides guidance to soldiers and veterans and serves as a location for SkillBridge interns.

Before joining Drexel Hamilton, Katie served in the U.S. Army from 2001 to 2006 as a medical laboratory technician. She received training at Fort Leonard Wood and Fort Sam Houston and gained extensive experience working at Martin Army Hospital and Troop Medical Clinics on Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning). Katie chose to gain additional training in cytology and has assisted in autopsies. Her exemplary service earned her the Service Achievement Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.

Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and secondary education, a master’s degree in executive leadership, and is a certified professional academic coach. She has a strong background in education, having spent 14 years as a science and math teacher and tutor. Katie also holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.

With a passion for math, data, and research, Katie joined Drexel Hamilton to expand her knowledge and branch out into a new field. She is deeply committed to supporting the veteran community and is actively involved in volunteer work with organizations such as House of Heroes, The Mission Continues, and Soldier’s Angels.

Outside of her professional life, Katie enjoys art, travel, music, and spending time with her family. She is married and has three children.
