Drexel Hamilton’s ECM Team Helps Send Care to Deployed Troops

May 6, 2022 — Representing the Drexel Hamilton Equity Capital Markets team, Director Brian Meenan delivered care package supplies on Friday to United For The Troops at its Carmel, New York location. The organization’s founders and lead volunteers, Jim and Patty Rathschmidt, said the care packages will be going to U.S. troops deployed to Poland who are helping Ukrainian refugees. The Rathschmidts formed the 501(c)(3) organization after their son deployed to Iraq in 2007 and they discovered there were simple everyday items from home the troops overseas didn’t have that would make them feel more comfortable. The 100% volunteer organization has sent over 27,000 care packages to forward deployed military members since its inception. Each service member receives one box full of toiletries and one box full of snacks.
